What Happens in Vegas, for example. You know what happens to Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher when they spend a few days in Vegas, but you can’t predict what will happen to them. Is the plot ridiculous? Of fact, the film is so entertaining that you’ll quickly forget about these minor concerns. Diaz continues to prove that no matter what the script says, she can be charming and attractive, while Kutcher is never far from a self-deprecating joke that endears him to the audience.
Yes, it’s about a bachelor party in Vegas, but the twist is that the audience never sees any of the fun. In reality, none of the characters had any recollection of what happened. Will they be able to locate the groom and attend the wedding? Repeat viewings of The Hangover do not dull the experience.
Big Love. When you’ve gotten your fill of Vegas romps, HBO networks regularly broadcast episodes of their superb dramas, such as Big Love. The show keeps getting better every season, thanks to an all-star ensemble and script writers who never seem to run out of ideas. It’s still Bill Paxton’s show, but Jeanne Tripplehorn and Chloe Sevigny, along with the rest of the fantastic ensemble cast, are always out to steal scenes. Unfortunately, Harry Dean Stanton died, but Bruce Dern continues to disgrace the family.
Bullies on Broad Street. From live boxing to documentaries about great teams, HBO Party networks have plenty of sports content. In this award-winning new documentary, the Flyers teams of the 1970s are examined. You’ll see hockey played without face masks or nitpicking referees. By comparison, the Stanley Cup Playoffs will be a breeze.
