The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has set up a unique Aadhaar Seva Kendra as a one stop destination for all Aadhaar services for residents of India. Aadhaar Seva Kendras In the first phase, UIDAI has launched a scheme to set up 114 Aadhar Seva Kendras in 53 cities of India. These include all metro cities, all state capitals and union territories. Aadhar Seva Kendra will run with over 35,000 Aadhar Kendras which are already run by Banks, BSNL, Post Offices and State Governments.

Services available at Aadhaar Seva Kendra

Aadhaar Seva Kendra provides a comfortable environment to the residents of India. Wheel-chairs are available at all Aadhaar Seva Kendras and there are also special services to serve the elderly or specially-abled. Aadhaar Seva Kendra is open from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM on all 7 days of the week.

Nearest residents can visit the Aadhaar Seva Kendra for the following services:

  • Aadhaar Enrollment
  • Updation of any demographic information in Aadhaar – name, address, gender, date of birth, mobile number or email ID
  • Updation of Biometric Data in Aadhaar – Photo, Fingerprint and Iris Scan
  • Download and print Aadhaar
  • These services are available to any resident of India (including NRI) at all Aadhaar Seva Kendras across the country.

Charges for Aadhaar Services on Aadhar Seva Kendra

UIDAI has defined the charges to be paid by the resident availing the Aadhaar services at the Aadhaar Seva Kendra. This:

  • Aadhaar Enrollment: Free
  • Children’s biometric update (at 5 and 15 years old): Free
  • Biometric Update or without Demographic Update*: Rs. 100
  • Demographic update by residents only*: Rs. 50
  • Download Aadhar & Color Print: Rs. 30

*Update of more than one field at a time will be considered as an update

Residents can pay at the ‘Cash Counter’ available at the Aadhaar Seva Kendra or make the payment online while booking an appointment online from the UIDAI website.

Earning in Aadhar Seva Kendra

You can earn at least 30,000 to 40,000 rupees in a month by opening Aadhar Seva Kendra. The more your center runs, the higher will be your earnings. There is a good scope of earning in opening Aadhar Seva Kendra and you can apply for it without any hesitation and apart from running your own business, you will be able to give employment to others.

Opening Aadhar Center will have to pass the license test

To open an Aadhar Seva Kendra, one has to get a license from the government and one has to pass an exam to get it. Anyone who wants to open an Aadhaar center will have to clear the UIDAI exam. Only after passing the exam he will get the UIDAI certificate.

Process of License for Aadhar Center

If you want to take license then you first go to NSEIT portal and create your login ID. After login, you have to go through the process mentioned here and you can apply.

Applying Process

First of all go to https://uidai.nseitexams.com/UIDAI/LoginAction_input.action website.

Click on Create New User. Here you will be asked to share your code.

For Share Code, go to https://resident.uidai.gov.in/offline-kyc and download offline e-Aadhaar.

Along with this you will be available XML File and Share Code.

Now come back to the apply window and fill all the details asked in the form correctly.

Now USER ID and Password will come on your phone and e-mail ID.

Login to the portal of Aadhaar Testing and Certification with USER ID and Password.

You will get a form again, fill it out completely.

Upload your photo and digital signature on the website.

Click on Proceed to submit form.

Now you have to make payment. For this, go to the menu on the website and click on Payment.

After completing this process, you will have to choose your exam center and for this you will have to complete the process mentioned here. After the completion of the form filling process, one may have to wait from one day to 12 days.

You will have to login to the website again and click on Book Center.

Select any nearest center where you want to give the respective exam.

Download the Admit Card by choosing the date and time for the exam.

After giving the exam, if you pass, then you will get Aadhar center. However, to open an Aadhar card center, you will need some necessary equipment like printer, computer, webcam, iris scanner etc.

Apply for aadhar center

To apply for Aadhar Center, you must have Retailer ID of Digital Gramin Seva, if not, you can register for Retailer ID on Digital Gramin Seva Portal, after getting Retailer ID, you can apply for Aadhar Center.

  • First of all you have to login the Retailer ID of Digital Gramin Seva
  • After login, click on Aadhaar Center Apply Option
  • After clicking fill the information asked in the form
  • You will have to wait 45 days to 90 days after the form is submitted
